About the Role 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Owner (Finance) to join our team in Louisville, KY. The Product Owner will play a critical role in driving the vision, strategy, and execution of finance-related products and solutions. This individual will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, finance teams, and technical delivery teams to ensure that financial systems and processes meet business needs and compliance requirements. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Define, prioritize, and manage the product backlog for finance-related initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals. 
  • Collaborate with finance stakeholders to gather requirements, understand challenges, and translate them into user stories and acceptance criteria. 
  • Partner with technology teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality finance products, enhancements, and integrations. 
  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for finance processes, accounting standards, compliance, and reporting requirements. 
  • Facilitate sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives with the Agile delivery team. 
  • Communicate product vision, roadmap, and progress to stakeholders and leadership. 
  • Continuously monitor industry trends and regulatory changes in finance to ensure products remain compliant and competitive. 
  • Ensure financial systems and tools (ERP, reporting systems, etc.) support accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. 
  • Drive adoption of new finance solutions by providing guidance, documentation, and training to end-users. 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred). 
  • 5+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Finance Systems role within financial services, accounting, or technology domains. 
  • Strong knowledge of financial processes including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. 
  • Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday Financials) or financial applications. 
  • Proven ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment and manage a product backlog. 
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail. 

Preferred Skills 

  • Certification in Agile methodologies (CSPO, SAFe PO/PM, or equivalent). 
  • Experience with financial data analytics and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.). 
  • Understanding of SOX compliance, GAAP, or other financial regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, practice groups, and leadership to gather, document, and analyze business and technical requirements.
  • Translate complex requirements into functional specifications, workflows, and technical solution documents.
  • Lead solution design sessions and create visual documentation such as screen mockups, process flow diagrams, and ERDs.
  • Design, build, and configure business applications using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse).
  • Coordinate end-to-end project activities including milestone planning, testing, training, and deployment.
  • Work closely with technical teams to ensure solutions align with architectural and business goals.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and support change management and user onboarding.
  • Serve as a Power Platform evangelist, driving awareness, best practices, and adoption across teams.
  • Ensure adherence to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards for low code solution delivery.
  • Document technical solutions, workflows, and support processes to ensure long term sustainability and knowledge transfer

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of business analysis or systems analysis experience in enterprise environments.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform (especially Power Apps and Power Automate).
  • Solid understanding of business process design, data modeling, and requirements documentation.
  • Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server preferred).
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in complex, fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in SharePoint Online, Microsoft Dataverse, or other low-code platforms.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, PowerShell, JSON, and integration tools.
  • Industry experience in insurance or legal technology (preferred).
  • Exposure to Agile or hybrid project management methodologies
